Christian Atsu, a former Black Stars of Ghana star, was discovered dead after the terrible earthquake in Turkey, according to his agency.
The tragic news comes after a 12-day search in the ruins of the earthquake that rocked Turkey and Syria.
Murat Uzunnmehmet, the former Chelsea and Newcastle winger’s agent, announced his death in a statement.
“Atsu’s dead corpse was discovered beneath the debris. Presently, additional objects are being removed. “His phone was also discovered,” he told reporters in Hatay, where Atsu, 31, played for Hatayspor.
Atsu leaves behind his wife, Marie-Claire Rupio, and three children.
