Cardi B is on a “Hot Shit” with Kanye West and Lil Durk, according to her new single, which was released on Friday (July 1).
“Hot Shit” is one of the singles from Cardi B’s highly anticipated, as-yet-untitled sophomore album, which follows her Grammy-winning debut Invasion of Privacy. Cardi B will release her first solo single in 2022, following appearances on a string of singles ranging from the extended version of Summer Walker’s “No Love,” featuring SZA, to “Shake It” with Kay Flock, Dougie B, and Bory300.
Her most recent solo release was the hit single “Up,” which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for a week in March 2021.
On Thursday, she shared a snippet of the song to get fans excited for the new song. In a video of herself, she appears to be on a terrace on a high-rise building in New York, wearing a bedazzled robe and matching head towel, with a large breakfast spread of bacon, eggs, and fruit in front of her, which fit the theme of the rhyme in the brief clip. “I’m connected, man, I’m not sure which is longer, my block list or my check list,” she spits. “I’m not sure which is colder, man, my heart or my necklace/ Pretty when I wake up, I’m a b—h at breakfast.”
