Leading entertainment firm Achievas Entertainment Limited created history on January 6, 2023 at the Landmark Leisure Beach in Oniru, Lagos, with its inaugural concert, “Beer With Us Festival.”
Achievas’ senior executive, Daniel Chiori Cole, commented on the event’s success and said that since the company is recognized for keeping its promises, the first edition of the event was a success.
According to him, “we estimated over 10,000 music and beer lovers, but in the end, we had more than we expected, and we are certainly delighted; with the first edition, we made statement.”
Aishat Anaekwe, the first lady and one of the producers, said it was an excellent chance to introduce international entertainment to Lagos. The finest of Nigeria and Ghana in one place, this festival is a singular event that provided music and beer enthusiasts with a genuinely premium and unforgettable encounter.
One of the music festival producers, Nwanevu Ogechi Cyril, often known as Pencil, reaffirmed that all of the preparations paid off since music fans appreciated every performance that evening, pushing organizers to start planning for the second iteration.
Eric “Mr Hyenana” Adebamiro, the event presenter, spiced up the event by playing DJ Spicy’s music nonstop while aspiring artists performed live in front of the sizeable crowd.
The crowd’s freestyle rappers and a gifted concertgoer who used the chance to demonstrate his skills and win an iPhone were two of the night’s highlights.
From Gucci’s electric performance—complete with her purple hair and black cargo pants—to Iyanya, the ladies’ favorite and “Mr. Oreo” crooner, the audience was blown away by his outstanding dance fusion performance.
Then came the debut of Ghanaian singer Black Sherif, whose songs “First Sermon” and “Second Sermon” were well welcomed by critics. With the theme “of course I screwed up,” the mysterious “Kwaku the Traveler” sang a variety of tunes, all of which electrified the “Beer With Us” stage.
Seyi Vibez maintains the momentum and, although using Yoruba vernacular and street slang, his musical contact with the crowd demonstrates how mainstream he is quickly becoming.
Ololade Asake, the current Mr. Money Crooner, is undoubtedly a show-stopper at any time. The YBNL signee did a fantastic back-to-back performance of songs like “Palazzo,” “Sungba,” “Mr. Money with the vibe,” “Terminator,” “Peace be unto you,” and “Joha,” among others.
Speaking further, Elvis Ahior, top business manager and strategist noted that no doubt the debut edition of BWUFEST was an impressive start as fans and music enthusiasts can’t wait for the second leg of the show.
Present at the well attended event includes top socialites, crème de crème, Nollywood superstars amongst others.
