The Grammy Award winner expressed his disgust towards the show’s organisers.
Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, is a legendary singer, composer, and performer from Nigeria. He has criticized the person in charge of organizing his headlining concert in Lagos.
The African colossus, who has sold out legendary venues like Madison Square Garden, State Farm Arena, and a slew of other venues around the world, recently announced that he would usher in the new year with a homecoming performance in Lagos. He will also be headlining at least three stadium shows in 2023.
The African Giant, Burna Boy was supposed to take the stage at the event, which was scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Nigerian time on January 1, 2022, but as of 3 a.m. on January 2, 2022, the African Giant had not yet done so. Burna Boy, who wasn’t performing at the time, is shown in a fan-filmed tirade about how the event’s organizers screwed up the sound, saying that this is why he doesn’t like to play in Nigeria.

This is not a joke. This is Burna boy addressing the waiting crowd at his concert at around 3am for a show that was to start at 6pm or thereabout. Mad country pic.twitter.com/wOOR0sN8jk
