Actor Akwasi Asamoah, known as Big Akwes, has subtly responded to recent statements made by his ex-wife, Freda, about their marriage. The couple, who married in a private ceremony in Kumasi in August 2023, separated a few months later due to marital issues.
In August 2024, Freda shared a video where she expressed her dissatisfaction with the marriage, calling it “the biggest regret of my life.” When asked about Freda’s claims in an interview with actress and TV host Nayas 1, Big Akwes chose not to acknowledge his marriage to Freda. He explained that he didn’t want to reveal the reasons behind their split, as it could cause problems for Freda abroad. He also emphasized that, unlike others, he preferred not to publicly discuss his personal life.
In a separate development, Freda has opened up about the struggles she has been facing over the past year. During a TikTok live stream, she revealed that her situation had been so difficult that, had it been someone else, they might consider suicide.
