Ayra Starr, a gifted singer and performer, spoke candidly about her experience working with Wizkid in the studio during an exclusive interview with American radio station Kiis FM.
Ayra, who appeared on Wizkid’s fifth studio album, admitted that she was nervous when she first entered the recording studio to collaborate with Wiz. She also said that at first, they were working on a different song, for which she had written the hook, but the song that ended up on the album was born while she was freestyling in the studio.
Ayra said that “2 Sugar” was one of the fastest songs she and Wiz had ever written since she was able to record the hook in only one take.
