Since word leaked out about his annulled marriage to Gifty Gyan, Ghanaian football player Asamoah Gyan has been in a jubilant spirit.
Asamoah Gyan’s notoriety as Africa’s leading scorer at a FIFA World Cup event brought attention to the three-year-old legal case
Asamoah Gyan was ordered by the court to give his ex-wife Gifty Gyan 25,000 Ghana Cedis (GHc25,000) every month in order to support and care for their three children.
This number does not include other costs associated with raising children, such as the three children’s school fees, travel-related airline tickets, and medical and dental care charges.
Gifty has also received Asamoah Gyan’s UK residence in addition to a second four-bedroom house in Ghana.
Gifty has taken over one of Asamoah Gyan’s companies, a gas station in Prampram, while his former partner will receive a BMW owned by the Black Stars international team.
But in response to the court’s decision on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, Asamoah Gyan has quietly informed the public that “it is his victory” rather than the opposite.
If I have 10pts and I keep quiet cos I’m matured, and you have 2 pts and you going find public sympathy, then it’s cool. You are very funny. This is deep so think about it” he wrote.
In a different post, he toasted to his legal win by playing “Case Remix,” a popular Afrobeat song by Mr. Drew that delves into the intricacies of love, relationships, and the ups and downs that frequently accompany them.

When Gyan filed for divorce in 2018 at the Matrimonial Division of the High Court in Accra, his marriage made headlines.
At that point, the former Black Stars captain began to question the authenticity of his three children, so he asked for each of them to have a DNA paternity test done in order to get the truth.
Asamoah Gyan quietly stated that it was his win and not the other way around in reaction to the court’s decision.
