    Asake Overcomes Burna Boy And Other Competitors To Win The Best African Artiste At The VGMA

    AsakeAhmed Ololade, better known by his stage name Asake won the award after defeating competitors like Burna Boy, Kizz Daniel, and others.

    One of the winners at the recently held Vodafone Ghana Music Awards was talented Nigerian singer Asake.

    Some of the greatest personalities in Africa’s entertainment sector won key categories at the 2023 VGMAs.

    Asake defeated fellow Nigerian artists Burna Boy, Kizz Daniel, and Ayra Starr to win the “Best African Artiste” category at the event, which was held in Accra on May 6, 2023. The award also included newcomers The Therapist and Cameroonian-American singer Libianca in the running.

    This is the first time the Neo-Fuji act will win a VGMA in his career.
