Early beginnings and breakthrough
KiDi's love of music led him to perform on various "Moonlight Café" platforms while studying Economics and Information Studies at the University of Ghana - a production that supports underground artistes and gives them a platform to showcase their talents. He also recorded covers of well-known songs. KiDi took a risk by entering the MTN Hitmaker competition in 2015. He eventually won the competition and was signed by Lynx Entertainment. KiDi rose to prominence in 2017 with the release of "Say You Love Me," a song he wrote, arranged, and produced. KiDi established himself as one of Ghana's fastest rising stars when he released another chart-topper, "Odo," in July 2017, followed by a remix with Nigerian artists Davido and Mayorkun in December 2017, and Adiepena in April 2018.
