According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in today’s Power On newsletter, Apple‘s iPhone 16 launch tomorrow won’t be the last event of the year. The company is expected to hold another event in October to unveil some M4-powered Macs and new iPads.
This could include the first new iPad Mini since 2021 and a redesigned Mac Mini with an M4 chip, which will be the first significant redesign of the small desktop in over a decade, similar in size to an Apple TV.
With tomorrow’s “Glowtime” event set to feature updated iPhones, Apple Watches, and AirPods, most Apple products will have seen updates this year. However, the AirPods Max likely won’t be refreshed soon, as Gurman noted on Friday that they’re still widely available at Apple stores, meaning an update isn’t expected, at least for now. This will extend the life of the Lightning port a bit longer.
