The Apple Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter may have reached the end of its run, as it is now sold out on Apple’s online store in the US and many other regions, according to MacRumors. However, the adapter is reportedly still available in some countries, including France, Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.
If this truly marks its discontinuation, it signals the end of an era. Apple first introduced the Lightning headphone adapter in 2016 with the iPhone 7, when it boldly removed the headphone jack. Initially, the adapter was included with new iPhones but was phased out by 2018 with the iPhone XS, requiring customers to purchase it separately, opt for Lightning EarPods, or embrace AirPods—an option many reluctantly acknowledged as excellent over time.
Regrettably, the Lightning-to-VGA adapter also appears to have been discontinued from the US Apple Store
