To celebrate the upcoming debut of their much-awaited collection, H&M and Mugler held a cultural event on Wednesday, April 19, at the Park Avenue Armory in Manhattan, New York City.
Pamela Anderson, Charli XCX, Chlo Sevigny, Lourdes Leon, and Dominique Jackson were among the Mugler community members that attended the event and donned Mugler H&M line clothing.
At the hottest event of the night in NYC, the official debut of Mugler’s collaboration with H&M, one of today’s most renowned artists, Amaarae, gave a powerful performance of her wildly popular songs “SAD GIRLZ LUV MONEY” Kali Uchis & Moliy, “Reckless & Sweet,” “Disguise,” and an unreleased track.
Together with the bands Shygirl and Eartheater, the Ghanaian composer and singer are one of the faces of the gorgeous new campaign.
A group performance was given by the three musicians who are featured in the Mugler H&M music video and who were all dressed in exclusive items from the newest line. Each artist performed a few of their own hits before coming together to perform a fresh version of the 1990s club hit “Music Sounds Better With You,” a song that was expressly written in honor of the Mugler H&M collection.
The occasion marks the beginning of what will unquestionably be a monumental year for Amaarae, which will also see the release of her much-awaited new album, Fountain Baby.
She has already developed a cult following throughout the world, established herself as a media darling, and written the song “SAD GIRLZ LUV MONEY” with Moliy and Kali Uchis, which broke new ground when it was released.
