Rosemond Brown, also known online as “Akuapem Poloo,” is a Ghanaian actress and social media influencer. She took to Instagram to share her happiness at starting her fast today, March 23, 2023.
The outspoken actress, who also serves as a model and businesswoman, says she is overjoyed because she is participating in the yearly Muslim fasting practice for the first time since she converted to the faith eight months ago.
In her article, Poloo pleaded with Allah to accept their fast and provide Muslims all the blessings associated with it. She also asked the Muslim coworkers nearby to observe the fast.
‘‘May Allah Accept our fasts in this beautiful Ramadan🤲 my first fasting since I became Muslim (7 months now) May we be blessed by his love and be guided by him in all that we do Ramadan Kareem to my Muslim brothers and sisters 🤲🤲🌙,’’she wrote.
Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is one of the most sacred times for Muslims. Throughout this month, Muslims follow a stringent daily fast from sunrise till sundown. They are not permitted to eat or drink, not even water, during these daytime hours. Muslims all across the world started their fast today, which is scheduled to finish on April 23.
