    A mother of two dies after being injured at Asake’s London event.

     

    Rebecca Ikumelo, 33, died as a result of her injuries acquired after a stampede at a concert hosted by singer Asake at Brixton O2 Academy on Thursday, December 15.

    After being badly injured in the stampede, late Ikumelo died in hospital on Saturday morning, December 17. She leaves behind two children.

    She became a Tiktok sensation after posting videos on her experiences caring for her autistic kid.

    Meanwhile, Asake has reacted to Rebecca Ikumelo’s death. Asake expressed his heartbreak at her death in a social media post. He offered his heartfelt condolences to her family and encouraged everyone to remember her family in their prayers.

    I am devastated by the news that Rebecca kumelo who was in a critical condition since
    Thursday has sadly passed away.
    My sincerest condolences to her loved ones at this time. Let us please keep her family in our prayers. I have spoken to them and will continue to do so.

    I am overwhelmed with grief and could never have imagined anything like this happening.
    My team and I are still awaiting the full debrief back from the Venue management and the Police to determine what exactly led to all the disruption caused and ultimately to Rebecca’s passing.

    Two more ladies, aged 21 and 23, are still in critical condition, according to the Metropolitan Police.
