Although she made both physical and spiritual preparations ahead of the event at Akwaaba Village in Accra in December 2023, she was unable to overcome the spiritual obstacles. “Social media comments can have a significant impact. During my first attempt, they affected me. The challenges were many, and they were spiritual in nature. Physically, I was ready—I exercised, knowing I would be singing. But spiritually, I was weak. I prayed, and we even invited a pastor to pray with us, but the battle during the sing-a-thon is not an easy one. I am speaking from experience,” she shared.

Afua Asantewaa, who recently took a vacation in Canada with her husband, Kofi Owusu Aduonum, expressed her confusion over why certain individuals would seek to spiritually sabotage her efforts, especially since the event was not financially motivated.
