African Dancehall king Shatta Wale has publicly criticized his parents on his Facebook wall.
In a concerning post that has since gone viral, Shatta claimed his parents neglected him during his childhood, which shaped his current persona.
Last weekend, his mother, Madam Elsie Evelyn Avemegah, revealed she hadn’t seen her son in over ten years and that he has failed to support her during her times of need. She mentioned that she depends on caring relatives for financial support.
He explained that his stepmother provided the care and stability his biological mother did not, supporting him and his daughter during his early years. Shatta Wale also expressed frustration with his mother for bringing family issues to social media, viewing it as an attempt to garner public sympathy.
Shatta Wale has faced persistent accusations of neglecting his mother, particularly since 2022 when she revealed she was evicted from her home after six years.
In subsequent interviews, Madam Elsie Avemegah discussed her worsening health and alleged lack of support from her son, a narrative recently corroborated by her niece, Sherita, on TikTok.
