Florence Chapman, responsible for her care, has shared updates highlighting the difficult circumstances she has endured.

Florence previously defended Shatta Wale’s mother against public disrespect, emphasizing the hardships she faced before their family took on her care. Recently, Florence disclosed that her condition has worsened significantly, underscoring the extent of her mental distress.

Florence recounted moments when Shatta Wale’s mother expressed suicidal thoughts and had panic attacks, frequently waking up at night searching for her son. In a statement, Florence expressed that she would not make any more videos on Shatta Wale’s mother’s situation.

She mentioned that she has been facing psychological issues, trying desperately to contact her son without success. She sought assistance from many individuals, including relatives who also attempted to step in but without any positive results.

Florence added that her condition has deteriorated. At night, she would wake up seeking her son Junior and crying out for him. She had experienced mental breakdowns and had mentioned suicide on numerous occasions, which initially was thought to be emotional blackmail. In her village, people accused Shatta Wale of neglecting her while spending on others. This constant reminder fueled her suicidal thoughts.

Before Florence and her family intervened, she resided in the village and had to cope with these taunts. Her niece, Sherico, intervened and brought her to Accra, where she received assistance.

Despite receiving medical care, Shatta Wale’s mother still requires ongoing psychological support. She insisted on speaking out about her situation, even threatening suicide if discouraged from doing so, prompting her to come forward.

Florence’s statements followed Shatta Wale’s mother publicly expressing feelings of being abandoned by her son for more than ten years on social media. This outcry has sparked widespread debate online, with many criticizing the dancehall artist for reportedly prioritizing a lavish lifestyle over his family responsibilities.

Shatta Wale has faced persistent accusations of neglecting his mother, particularly highlighted in 2022 when she disclosed being evicted from her home after six years. In subsequent interviews, Madam Elsie Avemegah discussed her worsening health and alleged lack of support from her son, a narrative recently corroborated by her niece, Sherita, on TikTok.
