As Nigeria’s most popular reality show, Big Brother Naija, returned for a new season on Sunday, Senator Yusuf Datti Ahmed, the vice presidential candidate for the Labour Party, warned youths.
According to Naija News, the seventh season premiere of the BBNaija program “Level Up” took place on Saturday, July 23, 2022.
There are rumors that the reality show will draw a lot of people’s attention, causing them to become fixated on their televisions and eventually pay less attention to political events.
Datti-Ahmed, who would be competing for president in 2023 on the LP ticket with Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, advised the Obidient camp’s followers in a tweet on Sunday morning to stay focused and not get sidetracked by the BBNaija show.
According to Naija News, many Nigerians support Peter Obi and Datti-Ahmed on social media.
“Dear #Obidients please don’t be distracted with the new season of the Tv show #BBNaija, we have a battle ahead of us,” Datti tweeted today.
The Labour Party’s (LP) Peter Obi can only win the 2023 election via social media, according to a former Kannywood actress named Fatti Mohammed.
The actress argued that elections are held in polling places, not on social media, and that Nigerians have forgotten this.
“Peter Obi can only win elections on Twitter simply because his supporters have knowledge of twitter forgetting that elections happen in polling unit Not in Twitter page,” she wrote.
“Let me Speak with the language that you would understand much better….. Na only for Twitter Peter Obi fii win election not for polling unit. Becox em people Sabi sabi posting on Twitter, forgetting na for polling unit election denhappenappn, not in Twitter page,” she added.
